LifeAftertheMilitary.org Reveals Personal Branding to be the Key

(USGovernment-News.Com, September 17, 2012 ) San Antonio, TX -- Thousands of Service Members return to civilian life each year, however many are ill prepared and, as a result, are unable to lead a normal life. Now, Service Members who are looking to make the transition back into civilian life can now find help at their fingertips by visiting LifeAftertheMilitary.org.

Life After The Military is an organization dedicated to helping Service Members discover the key to transitioning back into the civilian sector – personal branding.

Curtez, from Life After The Military says the organization helps service members develop personal brands.

“After serving in the Military during wartime, and often experiencing the unthinkable, it isn’t surprising that so many Service Members find it difficult moving back into a safe and comfortable lifestyle back home,” Mr. Riggs said.

“A career in the Military may mean losing their individuality – forgetting what it means to be themselves. This is why personal branding is so important when transitioning back into the civilian sector,” he added.

By visiting the website, Service Members and their families can find out what it means to undertake the concepts of personal branding, and how it can help them secure the perfect second career so that they can have the kind of lifestyle that they and their family deserve.

The website offers a free online Personal Branding Toolkit. It also hosts a Personal Branding Challenge to aid service members and help establish brands.

“Ultimately, Life After the Military was created to empower Service Members and Veterans to take charge of their future, and the website and all the tools it provides are the means to achieve this goal," Mr. Riggs continued.

The website is designed to help answer questions Service Members and Veterans might have, such as “What is Personal Branding and why is it critical to veterans and service members?”, “How do you uncover your Personal Brand?”, “How do you leverage your Personal Brand for success after the Military?” and “How can you achieve Personal Branding for Veterans?”

The site was created as a result of the Personal Branding Initiative from the US Chamber of Commerce. Its creator, Curtez Riggs, is passionate about introducing the concepts of personal branding, reputation management and the inbound marketing methodology to the Military community. He is a highly regarded and regular speaker for Military and Veterans Organizations.

“Leaving the military, you are provided with basic knowledge such as how to write a resume and basic interviewing skills. Unfortunately this isn’t enough to set you apart from the rest and establish a successful career,” Mr Riggs continued to say. “Now, there is a service that can help, and the best part is, it’s available online when and where the service members and veterans need it.”
