(USGovernment-News.Com, May 24, 2012 ) ESTES PARK, Colo.- The men and women of the U.S. military and their families have new opportunities to enjoy the beautiful country they serve. The National Park Service recently announced that active-duty military and their dependents can now explore more than 2,000 national treasures, including wildlife refuges and national parks, free of charge. While visiting Rocky Mountain National Park, members of the military and their families can extend their stays with YMCA of the Rockies’ Military Getaway Package.
Included in the Military Getaway Package are two nights in hotel-style lodges, meals for four, and an array of activities including guided hikes, mini golf, tennis, indoor pool with water slide, volleyball, and campfires with s’mores. Seasonal programs like zip lining, yoga classes, horseback riding, scavenger hunts, and capture the flag are also available. YMCA of the Rockies has two resort-style destinations located on opposite sides of Rocky Mountain National Park: the 860-acre Estes Park Center and 5,100 acre Snow Mountain Ranch. The Estes Park Center has a high energy atmosphere, while Snow Mountain Ranch offers a relaxed, laid-back feel.
