Pradaxa Bleeding Claims Under Investigation by Morgan and Morgan

(EMAILWIRE.COM, May 03, 2012 ) Tampa, Florida – The attorneys at Morgan and Morgan are evaluating potential Pradaxa bleeding claims on behalf of patients who suffered serious bleeding events while taking the blood thinner. A handful of lawsuits have been filed against the drug’s manufacturer, alleging, among other things, that Boehringer Ingelheim failed to adequately warn doctors and patients about the bleeding risk. If you or a loved one suffered a life-threatening bleeding episode, such as a cerebral hemorrhage, after a fall or other minor trauma on Pradaxa, you may have legal recourse to collect compensation for medical bills and other damages. To learn more about your eligibility to file a claim, visit http://www.pradaxa-injury-lawyers.com/ and complete the free case review form.

Pradaxa was approved in Oct. 2010 to reduce the risk of blood clots and stroke in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation. A little more than a year after the drug received approval into the marketplace, the FDA announced that it would be initiating a safety review of reports of excess bleeding with Pradaxa. While all anticoagulants have a risk of serious and even fatal bleeds, the agency is working to determine whether reports of bleeding in Pradaxa users are occurring more often than would be expected. It has been reported, however, that while bleeding on warfarin, an older blood thinner, can be stopped with a dose of Vitamin K, no effective reversal agent has been established for bleeding on Pradaxa.

It has been alleged that Pradaxa was released without an effective antidote, and was no safer than older alternatives. In light of these claims, the attorneys at Morgan and Morgan are looking to hear from users of the drug, or loved ones acting on their behalf, to help determine if they can file a Pradaxa lawsuit to seek compensation for damages. Currently, the attorneys are offering a free case review on their website at Pradaxa-Injury-Lawyers.com. This online consultation is offered at no cost and with no obligation.
