Pradaxa Litigation Webinar to Feature Morgan and Morgan Attorney Michael Goetz

(EMAILWIRE.COM, April 14, 2012 ) Tampa, Florida – The Pradaxa litigation team at Morgan and Morgan is pleased to announce that Michael Goetz, a mass tort and class action attorney in their Tampa office, will be speaking at an upcoming HB Litigation Conferences webinar. The Pradaxa litigation update webinar is scheduled for May 10 at 2 p.m. ET and will address the latest legal news surrounding the blood thinner, as well as its approval history and side effects. Mr. Goetz of Morgan and Morgan is honored to be speaking at the seminar and is currently available to review Pradaxa injury and death claims. If you or a loved one experienced a serious bleeding episode while taking Pradaxa, learn more about your opportunity to seek compensation for medical bills and other damages by visiting http://www.forthepeople.com/pradaxa-bleeding-lawsuits--11-4104.html and completing the free case review form.

The Pradaxa litigation update webinar will cover both medical and legal aspects surrounding the blood thinner. During the webinar, the speakers are expected to compare Pradaxa to older blood thinner Warfarin, debate its benefits and risks, and discuss Pradaxa side effects and their treatment. The FDA’s approval process of Pradaxa, its safety announcements and investigations will also be discussed. The following legal topics are also scheduled to be covered during the Pradaxa litigation webinar: client screening; the likelihood of an MDL; cases filed to date; the manufacturer’s position on the drug; and damage assessment and settlement opportunities.

Pradaxa was approved in Oct. 2010 to reduce the risk of stroke and blood clots in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation. A little over a year after the drug received FDA approval, the agency announced that it would be evaluating post-marketing reports of serious bleeding events in Pradaxa users. Several months later, it was reported that the first three Pradaxa lawsuits were filed, with one alleging that a Tennessee woman suffered a fatal gastrointestinal (GI) bleed due to her use of the blood thinner. If you or a loved one suffered a severe bleed on Pradaxa, the attorneys at Morgan and Morgan would like to hear from you. Visit ForThePeople.com for more information and a free case review.
