Reportedly, patients began contacting law firms about filing Actos lawsuits after the FDA announced that use of the drug for longer than a year may be linked to an increased risk of bladder cancer. Results from an on-going, ten-year study of the drug revealed an increased risk in patients with the longest exposure to the drug, and those exposed to the highest cumulative doses.
