Most common materials used include aluminum, aramid fibers, phenolic-impregnated Kraft paper, and polypropylene. Honeycombs can be filled with polyurethane foam. They can also be left without a filler material. Proper selection of filler depends on the required application. Some other possibilities for honeycomb materials are steel, plywood, and stainless steel.
