Oreck Halo Class Action Attorneys to Review Claims from Vacuum, Air Cleanser Owners

(EMAILWIRE.COM, June 28, 2011 ) Orlando, Florida -- The Oreck Halo class action lawyers at Morgan and Morgan would like to hear from consumers who purchased an Oreck Halo vacuum or ProShield Plus air cleaner. These individuals may be able to participate in an Oreck class action lawsuit seeking recovery of the cost of their appliance in light of FTC allegations that the company made false and deceptive claims regarding the health benefits of these products. To find out if you can participate in an Oreck Halo class action lawsuit, visit http://www.forthepeople.com/oreck-halo-class-action--11-3109.html and complete the free case review form on the right.

Oreck recently reached a settlement with the FTC, agreeing to pay a $750,000 fine and to stop making allegedly false and unproven health claims for its Halo vacuum and ProShield Plus air cleaner. The following are among the claims which the FTC believes to be deceptive: the Oreck Halo and the ProShield Plus reduce the risk of or prevent the flu; the Oreck Halo and ProShield Plus reduce the risk of or prevent certain ailments caused by bacteria, molds, allergens and viruses; the Oreck Halo will eliminate virtually all common germs and allergens found on household floors; and the Oreck ProShield Plus will eliminate nearly all airborne particles from the typical household room. Under its settlement with the FTC, Oreck is prohibited from making these allegedly deceptive statements unless it can provide reliable scientific evidence to support such claims.

If you purchased an Oreck Halo vacuum or ProShield Plus air cleaner, you may be able to participate in an Oreck halo class action in light of these allegations. Potentially, an Oreck class action lawsuit would provide consumers the opportunity to collectively file a claim seeking recovery for the cost of their vacuum or air purifier. To find out if you are eligible for an Oreck class action, visit ForThePeople.com and complete the free case review form for a no cost, no obligation evaluation of your claim.
