DePuy Hip Recall Lawyers Offer Hip Implant Recipients Free Online Case Review

(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 10, 2011 ) New York, NY – The DePuy hip recall lawyers working with Class Action.org are pleased to announce that the site is offering a free online case review to patients who were implanted with the DePuy ASR Hip Resurfacing System or ASR XL Acetabular System. This online legal consultation is being provided at no cost and with no obligation to help patients determine whether they have legal recourse in light of the August 2010 DePuy hip recall. If you or a loved one has been implanted with the DePuy ASR Hip Resurfacing System or ASR XL Acetabular System, visit http://www.classaction.org/depuy-asr-hip-implant.html to receive your free case evaluation.

Patients implanted with the DePuy ASR Hip Resurfacing System or ASR XL Acetabular System may have legal recourse due to a hip implant recall which was issued by DePuy Orthopaedics in 2010. The DePuy hip replacement recall was issued after data showed that more patients than expected who received the ASR hip system developed pain and other symptoms which required a second hip procedure, also known as a corrective surgery. Specifically, the research revealed that within five years of the initial hip implant surgery, approximately 13% of patients with the ASR total hip replacement and 12% of patients with the ASR resurfacing device needed corrective surgery.

Patients who required revision surgery within five years reported a number of symptoms, including pain, swelling and difficulty walking. While these symptoms are normal following a hip implant procedure, if they persist or recur, they may be a sign of more serious DePuy hip problems, such as implant loosening. In addition to hip implant loosening and fracture, the metal-on-metal DePuy ASR hip implants have been linked to metallosis, an inflammatory reaction which may develop in patients as the components wear and release small particles. Symptoms which may indicate DePuy hip metal poisoning include the following: vision loss; hearing loss; pain; dizziness; rashes; and trouble walking.

If you have experienced DePuy hip problems, do not wait to experience hip pain or other symptoms to learn your legal rights. Take advantage of the free case evaluation being offered by the DePuy hip recall attorneys working with Class Action.org. This online case review is being provided with no obligation and can help determine your eligibility for a DePuy hip lawsuit.
