But farmers considered them as vermin and started to drive them away and sometimes even killed them. Thus, by the late 1800's their population was decreased a lot.
Since the bald eagles were becoming scarce, in 1940 the Bald Eagle Act was passed in order to recover the exquisite species. Later, due the extensive usage of DDT and other pesticides sprayed on plants started affecting the bald eagles. Since they ate all the small animals that consumed those plants. By 1963 the number of nested pairs has fallen to almost 417 making them an endangered species.
Once again the very existence of these royal birds is in grave danger. And this time it's the construction of the Dragon Spring Temple, which is said to overrun the natural habitat of these bald eagles in the Deer Park, situated 42 miles away from New York. Lately, most people have started acting like savages and thus it is the country’s foremost duty to put an end to this slaughtering.
