Ohio Schools to Expand Access to Overdose Fighting Tools, Cincinnati Drug Rehab Responds

(USGovernment-News.Com, June 10, 2016 ) Cincinnati, OH -- As reported by 13abc, Ohio state officials are urging superintendents across the state to increase access to drug abuse and addiction prevention resources as well as lifesaving tools which combat overdose. Through a series of letters presented to district leaders in Ohio, state and local government officials requested assistance overcoming the opioid abuse epidemic. By making preventive materials and resources for help with addiction available to parents, teachers, and counsellors in Ohio schools, state officials hope to impact the ever increasing rate of opiate abuse among young people. One specific initiative called ''Start Talking!'' is intended to end the stigmas of shame and begin the conversation about substance abuse among students and their peers, teachers, and parents.

Heroin rehab in Cincinnati is more important today than ever before because of the prevalence of opiate abuse in Ohio and across the country. Cincinnati Drug Rehab, a provider of recovery services for those in need, recognizes that this a problem we must address on two fields: by making drug rehabilitation readily available to people living with opiate abuse disorders and by taking measures to prevent addiction in future generations. Through ''Start Talking!'', Ohio state authorities are taking steps to ensure that happens.

A representative of Cincinnati Drug Rehab comments:
"If we ever hope to end the war against substance abuse, we have to address the problem on two fronts. Beyond providing treatment for people with substance abuse disorders, we must work to prevent future generations from succumbing to addiction. By facilitating open discussion of the realities of addiction and keeping resources readily available, we can all work together to make opiate addiction a thing of the past. ''Start Talking!'' is a great way to make that happen."
