(EMAILWIRE.COM, June 17, 2009 ) Washington, DC - On Tuesday morning, Secretary Geithner will attend the PresidentÂ’s Daily Economic Briefing at the White House. This meeting is closed press.
Later, the Secretary will join the President to meet with regulators in the Roosevelt Room of the White House. There will be a photo spray at the top of the meeting.
In the afternoon, Secretary Geithner will join President Obama in the East Room of the White House. The President will lay out a comprehensive regulatory reform plan to modernize and protect the integrity of our financial system. He will be be joined by representatives from the regulatory community, consumer groups, the financial industry and members of Congress. This event is open press.
Following the PresidentÂ’s announcement of the AdministrationÂ’s regulatory reform plan, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner and Director of the National Economic Council Larry Summers will host a pen and pad briefing at Treasury.
