Historic New Jersey Drug Bust Seizes Over $1 Million Cash, Drug Rehab Newark Responds

(USGovernment-News.Com, March 18, 2016 ) Newark, New Jersey -- According to Patch, 12 people were indicted in 'Operation Skin Deep', which targeted an online drug ring operating out of Morris County, New Jersey. With the cocaine ring operating throughout the state, those arrested during the sting have been charged with a variety of offenses including drug trafficking and conspiracy to commit murder. The ring leader is alleged to be 31 year old Christopher Castelluzzo, who had $1.2 million in cash in a trunk at the time of the drug bust. His operation used internet communications to deliver cocaine and designer drugs via the mail. If indicted, Castelluzzo faces 25 years in prison for his role in a plot to kill two men in connection to a drug deal gone wrong. Other people arrested in relation to this drug ring face 10 to 20 years.

Drug Rehab Newark, a leading provider of addiction treatment in Newark, works directly with people affected by the substance abuse epidemic sweeping the country. With the tremendous amounts of damage caused to families and communities throughout New Jersey and the rest of the United States, drug trafficking operations such as the one run by Castelluzzo and his associates selfishly endanger the lives of millions, causing nothing but pain and devastation for the sake of profit.

A representative of Drug Rehab Newark comments,

"As unfortunate as it is that some find their wealth through illegal means, we must focus on the wellbeing of our communities and the people affected by substance abuse disorders. Though the work may seem endless, and at times ineffective, each successful disbandment of a drug trafficking ring and each successful confiscation of illicit substances saves a life, if not multiple lives. Overdoses are among the leading causes of death in this country; removing these lethal drugs from the streets can help change that."
