Judge Douglas Herndon was appointed as judge in 2005, and is now in his second term in District Court Department 3. Judge Herndon is known for spending more time in jury trials over a span of the last several years than any other District Court Judge. At present, he serves as the Chief Criminal Presiding Judge, and obtains the highest average retention rating from the Review Journal’s “Judging the Judge” survey.
Judge Ron Israel has served in the Las Vegas legal system since 1982, first as an attorney and now as a Judge. He was elected to the bench in 2010 to a newly created seat in the Eighth District Court. Judge Israel graduated from the FBI Citizens Academy in 2013, and is active in community organizations such as Boy Scouts of America, Clark County Pro Bono Project, the Anti-Defamation League, Las Vegas Region, and many more.
Attorney Richard Scotti has passion for seeing equal and fair justice served. He believes this is one of the qualities that best suits him for the role of District County Judge. Attorney Scotti hopes to advance a better knowledge of the judicial system throughout his community, promises to set aside any personal bias he may have to rule a case with absolute fairness based on the facts, and he assures the voters that, if elected, no other judge will out-work him.
