(USGovernment-News.Com, January 21, 2014 ) Phoenix, AZ – Phillips Law Group is proud to announce that two members of their legal team, Timothy Tonkin and Joel F. Friedman have become board certified specialists by the State Bar of Arizona’s Board of Legal Specialization.
Mr. Tonkin was certified in personal injury law and wrongful death litigation while Mr. Friedman is specialized in workers’ compensation.
Tim Tonkin is the supervising attorney at Phillips Law Group and has worked at the firm since 2003 where he has obtained numerous million dollar settlements for his clients. In 2012, Tim was named Managing Attorney for the firm’s personal injury department.
Joel F. Friedman joined Phillips Law Group in early 2014 and was also been deemed a “Super Lawyer” between 2008 and 2011 along with his most recent specialization in workers’ compensation.
According to the State Bar of Arizona website, “The Arizona Board of Legal Specialization identifies lawyers who have demonstrated superior knowledge, skill, integrity, professionalism and competence in a specific area of law, to better serve the public.”
In order to become a certified specialist members of the State Bar Arizona must devote at least half of a full-time practice to the specialist area, be admitted to the practice of law for a minimum of five years, and been admitted to the State Bar of Arizona for two years immediately preceding the application submission.
