(USGovernment-News.Com, January 06, 2014 ) Milwaukee, Wis. – Police agencies often struggle to balance vital training programs for its officers with budgetary and time constraints. To address this need, police training expert Dave Young is announcing new online training courses that will allow more officers to get access to life-saving tactics while lowering cost for agencies.
“I understand the obstacles that live training presents”, says Young, founder of Arma Training. “The online program allows agencies to conduct training at a fraction of the cost of in-person courses and allows the officers to learn when it is convenient for them.”
The online training programs were co-developed through Arma Training and the Vistelar Group. Current course offerings include:
• Chemical Aerosol Projectors for Basic Users
• Distraction Devices for Basic Users
• Protective Masks for Basic Users
• Recertification courses for all three to maintain skill level
The courses can be found at VistelarCollege.com and more courses will be made available throughout the year.
Young is recognized as one of the nation’s leading tactical instructors specializing in crowd management and non-lethal weaponry including chemical and specialty impact munitions. He has trained at agencies throughout the United States as well as South Africa and hosted the National Geographic Channel miniseries Police Technology.
