(USGovernment-News.Com, November 07, 2013 ) CHICAGO, IL—A multi-vehicle accident that took place on the Dan Ryan Expressway Wednesday, November 6 left three injured and one dead from the impact.
The collision involved a semi-truck, which jackknifed, two passenger cars, and a road construction crew. Though the victims’ names were not released at the time of the report, one of the injured was a child who was taken to the hospital immediately following the crash. The victims’ conditions have not yet been released, though according to the report the injuries were listed as serious.
Due to the accident, several lanes were blocked on the Dan Ryan 1-57 and Bishop Ford expressways. This collision marked the fifth that took place in the area on the same day, report officials.
Though it is unclear at the time of the report which driver was at fault for the accident, driver negligence is a factor in most auto accidents.
