(USGovernment-News.Com, September 27, 2013 ) LEXINGTON, NC – On July 30, 2012 a woman was involved in a single vehicle accident on Raleigh Road.
Police indicated that the women went off the road and struck a utility pole near the E-Z Car Wash. This accident leads to the death of her 9-month old daughter.
The woman has recently been charged with first-degree murder and felony child abuse in connection with the accident.
Investigations determined that the driver was operating in reckless disregard for human life by committing a willful act, and crashing the vehicle. The driver also has prior convictions regarding expired registration card/tags, expired/no inspection and failure to wear a seatbelt.
