(USGovernment-News.Com, September 05, 2013 ) EAST HARTFORD, CT — A driver speeding through the intersection of Main and Washington streets in downtown Middletown claimed to be the vehicle’s designated driver when police stopped him around 11 p.m. Saturday, August 31.
29-year-old Michael Greco’s eyes were bloodshot and he was unable to discern his vehicle registration from his insurance card, according to the police report. Officers conducted a breathalyzer test which showed a BAC of .1270 and Greco admitted to consumer approximately 12 ounces of vodka between the hours of 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. that evening.
Though Greco is due in court September 5 and was released on a $500 surety bond, the consequences of his actions could have had devastating effects on his own life and the lives of others. Connecticut drunk drivers risk serious injury or death to the drivers who share the roadways with them.
