Research Shows Amnesty Bill Background Checks Not As Thorough as Current FBIÂ’s

(USGovernment-News.Com, May 17, 2013 ) San Francisco, CA -- While the horrors of the Boston Marathon attacks have seen amnesty advocates exploit the justification of passing amnesty laws quickly, it is very possible the government is incapable to adequately control overview of 11 million illegal aliens. In fact, some are stating that amnesty might, in fact, facilitate terrorism as a whole.

According to reports from 2011, both the FBI and other government resources investigated the Tsarnaev family for terrorism after they were alerted by Russian intelligence officials. The FBI stated that it "did not find any terrorism activity, domestic or foreign" following what they said was a routine review of the family's travel and history records.

An official report from the FBI read: “[The FBI] actually interviewed [Tsarnaev], they interviewed neighbors, they interviewed relatives, and there were no red flags raised. They were doing the best they could do with the information they had, but they uncovered absolutely no facts here that raised the matter to a level that this man should get 24-hour surveillance, or any of the other things that are available to the FBI to watch them.”

Senator Marco Rubio, a stand-out Republican, along with his allies in the Senate and House, are arguing that due to terrorism now being a possible reality within the United States, the passage of the Schumer-Rubio amnesty bill would help national security as a whole.

Rubio stated: “The fact is that today there are 11 million people already in this country and we don't know who they are, why they're here, and what they're doing. That is not only an economic problem, it's a huge national security problem as well.”

Opponents are claiming that the background checks in the bill are actually less rigorous than the current FBI checks. The bill does not have required face-to-face meetings with immigration officers, nor does it require applicant's neighbors or family to be interviewed, both of which are currently used in Federal Bureau investigations.
