(USGovernment-News.Com, May 12, 2013 ) POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A 14 year old boy was run over by a Broward County Transit Bus in Pompano Beach on Friday around 9:00 a.m.
The boy was running to catch the bus and jumped onto it only holding for a minute, then falling off and being run over. This boy was rushed to the nearest hospital, while police indicate that the boy is suffering from critical injuries.
Several witnesses, along with the boy’s mother, were yelling stop as the kid was holding the bus and running alongside, only to see the boy fall and become run over. All witnesses claimed this was an extremely horrific scene.
Statistics provided by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration demonstrates that over bus accidents injuries occurred during 2009, while numbers have not altered much from this time. As police officers continue to investigate this situation, accidents such as these are always unfortunate.
