(USGovernment-News.Com, April 01, 2013 ) San Francisco, CA -- Pets are a part of many families, and the loss of a pet can require the same amount closure for family members, especially young ones, as a death of a relative.
With that philosophy in mind, the concept behind a growing popularity in a funeral service for pets has found an opportunity to flourish. Nathan Morris, who is co-owner, along with his wife Megan, for the first business to come into Owensboro that specializes in such services.
The decision to open the facility within the city was something studied carefully and thoroughly. “Two years ago I began researching,” he said, noting similar services are currently offered in much larger cities such as Cincinnati, Ohio.
One of the largest factors in the decision was the general opportunity for creation of providing a service for grieving pet downed that was dignified without being too over-the-top or campy. The service also provided veterinarians a bit of a respite from having to deal with the ordeal of how to dispose of the body as well.
“There’s nothing like this here,” Morris said. “There’s nothing dealing with, death, tragedy, and loss for pets. We didn’t want the vets to have that responsibility.”
