(USGovernment-News.Com, March 29, 2013 ) WALKERTOWN, NC – On Thursday morning around 7:50 a.m. a van ran into a house after it lost control. Reports show that the van ran off the side of the road, crossed to the other side, clipped the corner of a house and finally ran into a tree.
While the man in the home was not injured, the passenger in the vehicle suffered minor injuries as well as the 71 year old driver. Local residents said that the accident sounded like a bomb was going off as the driver lost complete control of the van.
As there were no severe injuries or deaths during this accident, statistics show that nearly 7.4 percent of all fatal car accidents were caused by an act of careless driving. At this point, we can only assume that this was an act of carelessness as the driver had no control over the vehicle and did not appear to be intoxicated by drugs or alcohol.
