(USGovernment-News.Com, March 07, 2013 ) HARTFORD, CT – The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for ‘Disco Lights’ sold at Justice stores from mid to late 2012. The “Style my Room by Justice” disco lights pose an electrical shock hazard to consumers.
Approximately 19,100 units have been recalled including the black disco light (style 900528) and star disco light (style 901651). The electrical wiring on the plastic lamp base is easily accessible and the lamp may also overheat while being used. Consumers are being warned to stop use of the product immediately and to return the defective product to Justice stores for a full refund.
In Hartford, Connecticut seven Justice stores throughout the surrounding area may have carried the product from May through November 2012.
The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission reported that between 2006 and 2008 there was an average of 53 electrocution fatalities associated with consumer products.
