Litigation Support Guru Becomes a Professor

(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 23, 2012 ) Savage, MD -- Seasoned Litigation Support Guru, Amy Bowser-Rollins, has joined the Georgetown University Paralegal Studies Program as an adjunct faculty member teaching Legal Technology starting this Spring 2012 semester. The Georgetown University Paralegal Studies Program is part of the Center for Continuing and Professional Education in the School of Continuing Studies.

Amy Bowser-Rollins has been working in the legal industry for 30 years spanning a number of roles including Legal Secretary, Word Processing Supervisor, Legal Trainer, Applications Specialist, and Litigation Support Manager. She is very well versed in the technology within a law firm environment, both the firm wide applications as well as the practice specific applications.

"I am very appreciative to Kelly Holdcraft, the Director of the Paralegal Studies Program, for the opportunity to teach at Georgetown. I am excited about mentoring the students in this next step of their career path", said Amy Bowser-Rollins.

“Georgetown Paralegal is thrilled to have such an experienced and dedicated litigation support professional as Amy Bowser-Rollins teaching in our program! Professor B is able to give our students extensive applied knowledge in legal technology, and significant mentoring advice for their present and future careers as paralegals and litigation support professionals,” said Kelly S. Holdcraft, director of the Georgetown University Paralegal Studies Program.

In September 2011, Ms. Bowser-Rollins launched a mentoring website called Litigation Support Guru to mentor individuals that have a desire to enter a career in the litigation support industry. See her article entitled Welcome to My World. Amy is a mentor at heart and enjoys encouraging others to see what they are capable of accomplishing in their own career.

Amy had the pleasure of participating in a mentoring panel at Georgetown University in November 2011 as part of their Litigation Technology/Legal Project Management certificate program and Georgetown Paralegal track. The Certificate and track are geared toward educating individuals who want to enter into Litigation Support. See AmyÂ’s article entitled Mentoring Students at Georgetown University.
