This decision comes after thorough review of the medicinal properties of marijuana and their ability to ease chronic pain and other conditions including cancers, HIV/AIDS, sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and epilepsy. The New York Health Department amended the language of the recently passed medical marijuana bill to specify these and other specific conditions which would allow patients to utilize medical marijuana.
