Drug Deals Reported in Homless Veterans Shelter, Drug and Alcohol Rehab Boston Comments

(USGovernment-News.Com, February 02, 2016 ) Boston, MA -- According to the Boston Globe, several former employees and residents of the New England Center and Home for Veterans have come forward with allegations of drug trafficking activities happening within the facility. Though representatives of the homeless shelter assured the public that it works openly and regularly with the police department, witnesses have come forward stating that drug use and overdoses are a regular occurrence in the homeless veterans shelter. Police records indicated several visits to the New England Center and Home for Veterans, however representatives defend this, stating police activity is common in all similar shelters.

Drug and Alcohol Rehab Boston, which offers drug rehab in Boston, is all too familiar with the struggles of those living with substance abuse disorders. Unfortunately, when compounded with PTSD and other disorders which commonly affect veterans, addiction only worsens and becomes more difficult to treat. Working with veterans, the facility offers heroin rehab in Boston, a problem common among former military servicemen afflicted with substance abuse.

A representative of Drug and Alcohol Rehab Boston comments,

"The allegations that illegal drug activities is occurring in a place intended to offer safety and shelter is discouraging. Such facilities as the New England Center and Home for Veterans are meant to help rehabilitate and assist the downtrodden; when they are infiltrated by lethal, illegal substances, it is a violation of the social morals which deem these places safe. As citizens of the nation they defended, we owe all veterans the support and assistance they need in order to reintegrate into society."
