(USGovernment-News.Com, June 27, 2015 ) Boynton Beach, Fl -- Paradise Home Health Care in Boca Raton, Florida will be presenting two educational courses at Temple Shaarei Shalom in Boynton Beach beginning Dec. 3rd 2015 through Feb 11th, 2016. Alan Schoen is the Coordinator of the Temple's Adult Education program. "We are looking forward to hosting these two programs this season for our year round congregants and the many Snowbirds who will be back in Boynton Beach. This will be very useful information to both our Boomers and our older members" says Mr. Schoen.
The Temple hosts an Adult Education program for its members and the community, at no charge. The First course at Temple Shaarei Shalom, is "Location, Location, Location: Plan Where You Want to Be" which explores Senior Living options, methods to help defray costs, affordable home modification ideas for greater safety, a look at individual values which form many of our decisions and solutions for folks who are planning or undergoing emotional transitions. "I find in my practice that most Retirees and Older Adults plan and hope to remain at home but don't consider simple modifications which will make the home safer and meet their current needs" shares Ms. Picker. "Others who are considering Senior Living Communities don't really know a lot about them or how to help finance their longer term plans."
The second course is a Wellness Forum focusing on Movement. "Many folks consider exercise to be a dirty word" explains Ed Gray, a physical therapist who will open the course with "The Mechanics of Movement". The classes will also use Music Therapy, Tai Chi and other natural solutions to pain and limited movement, closing with True Senior Sex Stories to remind us all that we must continue to "move and groove".
"Both series were presented at a Temple in Delray Beach earlier this year and we are thrilled that Mr. Schoen has invited us to his program" states Ms. Picker. Each segment of both courses is facilitated by a different professional so that an expert on each topic will be the presenter. "We are fortunate to have such a high caliber of talent who gives of their time for community education. Seniors in Palm Beach County have so many resources in their area" explains Ms. Picker.
Shaarei Shalom has a partnership with nearby Temple Torah Emet which will also host individual programs under a series called, "Grandma Goolges" presented by Tali Kentoff, Jewish Liaison with VITAS and Sherry Picker MSW, a Social Worker with Paradise Home Health Care. "We have done this series at Senior Centers and Senior Residences to great acclaim. Seniors learn about popular websites like; YouTube, Google images, Pandora, Netflix among others. They also really enjoy our Online Dating presentation", says Ms. Kentoff.
