(USGovernment-News.Com, February 05, 2015 ) Hattiesburg, MS -- Operation Shoestring has started out from the basement of Wells United Methodist Church and since then has been promoting values such as care, cultural sensitivity, religion, and health for more than 35 years.
Through the years, the organization has been able to continue with help from a team of volunteers and generous donators, such as United Way, ChildFund, Hattiesburg personal injury lawyer Richard Schwartz and many others.
Today, the group at Operation Shoestring continues their many missions including uplifting the needy, improving the community, and brightening the future for children of all ages and their families. These goals are worked toward in a number of ways, such as tutoring, art classes, emotional support, helping people gain job interviews, and teaching budget management.
Robert Landford is the current Executive Director, and there is an official staff of at least ten people, not including those that have so kindly donated their time, money, and efforts.
The home-base of Operation Shoestring is located in Jackson, Mississippi. To become a volunteer or a donor, or for more information on this organization, please visit http://www.operationshoestring.org/
