(USGovernment-News.Com, January 23, 2015 ) Miami Dade County,Florida -- ( January 23, 2015 ) Miami Dade County,Florida -- Small business owners in Miami-Dade's District 4 have announced Commissioner Sally Heyman's Annual Mom and Pop Small Business Grant Program. Businesses and are invited to apply. Applicants may be eligible to receive up to $5,000, depending on the number of applicants, which can be used for purchasing equipment, supplies, inventory, commercial liability insurance, security systems, advertising and marketing and making minor renovations. Applications will be accepted February 2 through February 20, 2015.
Since 1999 Miami Dade County has been giving FREE grant money to small business owners so they can use it to advertise and promote their businesses.
One million dollars ($1,000,000) is awarded every year to about 500 small business owners in the 13 Miami Dade County Districts.
The County will only allow you a few days to complete and summit the application and all the required documentations in 2015 and most busy business owners missed it in 2014 because of time restraints. So let's get them ready NOW and ready to submit the day the start accepting applications in 2015.
Business owners interested in applying for the 2015 District 4 Mom and Pop Small Business Grant Program must meet the following criteria:
o existed for at least two year(s) o employ no more than seven employees o currently not in default or non-compliance with any County loan or grant program o is not affiliated with a national chain o does not own more than two businesses o does not engage in illegal activity at the stated business location.
Applications must be received no later than 12 noon on February 20, 2015 or they will not be accepted.
