Internet Marketer, Corey Perlman, Says a Website Can Tell You Who Will Win the White House

(EMAILWIRE.COM, October 02, 2008 ) Troy, MI – Internet Marketer, Corey Perlman, has been evaluating Websites as part of his workshops for years. He got the idea to evaluate Barack Obama and John McCain’s Websites when he heard all of the commotion about each of their sites on the local news. “This election, more than any in our history, the Internet is going to play a huge roll,” says Perlman. “I figure the guy with the best Website is off to a great start!”

Perlman is using his blog (http://www.coreyperlman.com) to analyze different criteria that makes an effective and a user-friendly Website. “I’m using the same criteria as I use with my clients,” says Perlman. “I’m looking for an attractive site that provides the information users are looking for and does well in the search engines.” So far, Perlman has created three posts in his evaluation; one has gone the way of McCain and two for Obama. Perlman states, “McCain had more useful information above the fold – meaning you didn’t have to scroll to find it. Obama had a more aesthetically pleasing site and did slightly better with my search engine readiness test.” Though Obama has the early lead, Perlman says the race has only just begun. “It’s still anyone’s game,” says Perlman.

Perlman has the credibility to back up his opinions about Website design. In early 2000, he evaluated over a thousand General Motors dealership Websites and created a sophisticated formula for ranking sites anywhere from very good to darn right bad. “We saw all kinds of Websites, some that had balloons flying around the site and some with every color of the rainbow on the homepage. I always tell my clients, simple is better,” says Perlman.
