(EMAILWIRE.COM, September 27, 2008 ) Costa Mesa, CA -- The Costa Mesa City Council approved it's Housing Element which assessed the city's housing needs and set goals to meet the demands during the next 7 years.
Council member Foley is pleased to announce that the Costa Mesa Housing Element was only the second in the county to be adopted. One project the City plans to build is senior housing adjacent to the senior center at 695 W. 19th Street. "Housing prices have skyrocketed during the last five years and priced most seniors out of our city market. We need to provide quality, affordable senior housing for our seniors so that they can stay in Costa Mesa for their golden years," said Katrina Foley in support of the plan. For more information about the plan, go to www.ci.costa-mesa.ca.us.
City Council member Katrina Foley plans to keep residents informed about the progress of this new housing alternative on her Web site.
