(EMAILWIRE.COM, September 25, 2008 ) WASHINGTON, DC –The House Committee on Small Business will hold a hearing entitled "Small Business Competition Policy: Are Markets Open for Entrepreneurs?" The hearing will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in room 1539 of the Longworth House Office Building. The Committee will examine competition issues facing entrepreneurs and explore whether federal antitrust regulators are doing enough to maintain marketplace competition. The Chairman of the Federal Trade Commission will testify before the committee. Representatives of physicians, medical device manufacturers, and the automotive aftermarket business will also deliver testimony regarding competition issues facing their industries.
