(USGovernment-News.Com, May 14, 2013 ) Phoenix, AZ – Early Monday morning a black vehicle headed north on 27th Avenue slammed into two people waiting at a bus stop near Indian School. Both victims were rushed to the hospital where one died as a result of the car accident injuries and another is in serious conditions.
The driver and passenger of the car fled on foot although the driver later contacted authorities and is being questioned. No additional information has been provided about the passenger who fled the scene. If anyone has further knowledge of the incident authorities are advising them to call the Phoenix Police tip line at 602-262-6151.
In Arizona it is against the law for anyone to leave the scene of an accident, but in 2011 more than 11,400 hit-and-run accidents were reported throughout the state. Furthermore, of these accidents 49 were fatal collisions.
