Olympian Tweets Graphic Photos Following Recent Surgery reports InfuseDeviceLawsuit.com

(USGovernment-News.Com, September 27, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA- “Had a bone graft on 18yr old fracture and the metal frame holds joint apart to allow cartilage to recover. Nails done before!”

The mother of two is still recovering in the hospital after receiving the bone graft on an injury that has plagued her for nearly two decades.

Radcliffe seemed in high spirits as she continued to tweet, “'Guess it’s a good I'm not squeamish just very frustrated with crutches already!”

The Olympian assured her followers that the surgery had gone well.

“Recovering well from successful surgery in Palo Alto, huge thanks to Dr. Saxena and Palo Alto Med Clinic.”

The operation comes just a month after being forced to withdraw her contention in the women’s Marathon at the London Olympics.

Radcliffe suffered from osteoarthritis in her left foot throughout most of her career, and subsequently was declared unfit to participate in the games in July.

Speaking on the injury, Radcliffe explained, 'The joint's pretty degenerated and it's not going to recover until I get surgery on it. But I am getting surgery on it and then I will be able to run on it again.

“It's going to be a long process, but it will work out. I'm not sure when I'm having the operation, hopefully the end of this month. I need to get a bone graft and a cartilage repair done on it”

She had been planning to nabbing her first Olympic medal in her fifth games. She placed fourth in the in the Sydney Games. Recently, she had finished fifth in the 5,000 meters held in Atlanta.
