With the recent passing of the HB 2367 bill, Oklahoma certified Driver Education instructors will now be able to apply to become a Designated Examiner. The Designated Examiner is now equipped to administer the skills portion of the driving test. This person must be currently employed by any school district or commercial driver training school to apply.
The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety Driver License Services Division will be responsible for conducting training programs to develop the skills of these Designated Examiners. The state of Oklahoma hopes to see a boost in driver education, which they predict will translate into a much more skilled set of drivers.
